The SIRIAM Philosophy

Why SIRIAM?

The SIRIAM platform was developed from the observation that topical formulations are traditionally described almost exclusively by their ingredients or intended cutaneous topical or therapeutic purpose. Although this provides valuable information about composition, it rarely explains where, why, and how a formulation should be applied within an anatomical context.

SIRIAM introduces a structured framework in which every topical formulation is defined by its Application Field: a standardized anatomical region selected according to predefined anatomical and clinical principles. The formulation therefore becomes one component within a broader clinical system that integrates anatomy, standardized application, documentation, and quality management.

This handbook does not present isolated products. Instead, it describes an integrated platform in which every formulation follows the same architectural principles, allowing future products to be developed within a consistent and reproducible framework.

Most topical products are presented as individual formulations.

Within SIRIAM, the product is considered part of a larger ecosystem.
