Functional EMG Mapping.

A bilateral, segment-by-segment representation of the spinal column from C0 to S5, built as a teaching model for professional education.

Each spinal nerve divides into a ventral and a dorsal ramus. The medial branch of the dorsal ramus runs immediately lateral to the spinous process, supplying the deep paraspinal musculature and a narrow overlying strip of skin. Because that arrangement repeats at every level and on both sides, the paraspinal column can be read as a regular bilateral grid.
