Working definitions, scope and the boundary between documentation and clinical interpretation.

Published

I.1

Scope of the discipline

Neurodermal science, as documented by the institute, describes the relation between segmental surface anatomy and topical cutaneous topical application. It documents composition and application; it does not describe therapeutic effect.

I.2

Working definitions

Region, field, zone, segment and metamer are used with fixed meanings across the platform. Each term is defined once and referenced everywhere else.

I.3

Limits of the record

Every chapter states what it is and what it is not. Clinical judgement remains with the treating professional.
