Metameric organisation from C0 to S5

The metamer as an organising unit: one segment, one dermatome, one myotome, one surface field.

One segment, several expressions

A metamer bundles everything that belongs to a single spinal level: the dermatome on the surface, the myotome in the muscle, the sclerotome in bone and connective tissue, and the autonomic contribution.

Reading the body metamerically means asking not 'where does it hurt' but 'which segment does this surface belong to'.

From cranium to coccyx

The platform indexes thirty-one levels, from the C0 suboccipital transition down to S5 at the perianal ring. Each level carries its dermatome description, principal nerve, associated musculature and neurocutaneous zone.

Transitions between groups — C4/C5, T12/L1, L5/S1 — are anatomically distinctive and receive their own concepts in the SIRIAM ecosystem.
