SIRIAM Platform role

Within the SIRIAM Platform, MSM is regarded as one of the principal Structural Core Components.

Its primary purpose is to contribute to the common structural architecture shared by multiple formulations rather than defining regional identity.

MSM therefore supports platform consistency across the Metameric Recovery System while allowing regional ingredients to provide anatomical differentiation.

Within the Release–Integration architecture, MSM is predominantly associated with the structural backbone of the formulation rather than with a specific phase.

Scientific rationale

MSM is an organosulfur compound that has been investigated primarily for its role in connective tissue physiology, oxidative balance and inflammatory modulation.

Human clinical studies have mainly evaluated oral administration, where moderate evidence suggests potential benefits for musculoskeletal discomfort, exercise recovery and selected inflammatory biomarkers.

Experimental studies have demonstrated biological effects on oxidative stress pathways, cytokine modulation and extracellular matrix homeostasis.

Scientific evidence supporting topical MSM is more limited than for oral administration. Existing data suggest that dermal penetration is formulation-dependent and that further clinical investigation is warranted.

Within the SIRIAM Platform, MSM is incorporated because its pharmaceutical characteristics and biological rationale align with the Structural Core philosophy rather than because of conclusive evidence for any specific topical clinical indication.
